For this piece, I wanted to use colors, shapes, and textures that complemented the hard, weathered, rust-colored brick wall, the setting of the bar, and the room’s contemporary décor.
I chose vibrant blues to offset the orange in the wall and to coordinate with the surrounding blues in the drapes and pillow. The bubbles in the photograph mimic the polka dots in the pillow, as well as carbonation. The vortex in the photograph is indicative of swirling liquid in a rapidly stirred drink.
This project allowed me to use an abstract image I photographed using a macro lens of bubbles in a glass sphere. Pure Fun!
