Artist's Inspiration
Karen arranged the subjects of this image on a table, and carefully placed the light source so as to create a narrow plane of horizontal light to slice over the tops of the subjects. She captured the image while standing on a ladder over the table. This very specific and targeted lighting technique is a hallmark of Karen’s particular style of photography.
