This was my second year doing the Mt Dora Arts Festival, and it is by far the busiest show I’ve done. Wall-to-wall people! It is not for the faint of heart! Artists had better be ready with food and drinks on-hand, working credit cards readers, comfortable shoes and no expectation of taking a break until the show closes.
Mount Dora is a small, art-loving town in Central Florida, just a few miles north of Orlando. Its quaint downtown streets fill to the brim every year with patrons shopping for unique art from nationally-recognized artists. The art show’s organizers and volunteers are experts at orchestrating a seamless flow of traffic in the set-up and tear-down of the artists’ booths, as well as crowd control.
